Abstract

De Palma reconstructs the Husserlian critique of science stressing its empiricist inspiration and challenges the claim of most scientific theories to be an accurate description of reality. He thereby points out the phenomenological analysis of experience as the only possible ‘first philosophy’, as the authentic ontology.
