The transcendental phenomenological building-up of phantom quasi-objective space
the transcendental phenomenological "deduction" of space
pp. 186-229
in: , Phenomenological method, Berlin, Springer, 1989Abstract
So far the focus of phenomenological objectivation has been on those mental life-processes which include as substrata "my" actual sensings of "Data of sensation." As yet, the focus has not been on those actual sensings that are foundations of mental life-processes belonging to others, although, as has been emphasized, the actual sensings belonging to others are implicit in "mine." How this is so will be the topic of Chapter Eight. Here it is necessary to turn the objectivating regard to something else, the thematizing of which has been postponed long enough: To begin, as I have done, with "my" actual sensings signifies that the constitutive clue for building up the spatial dimension of the phantom world is the present or current phase of "my" sensing-mental living, the present phase of "my" consciousness of sensum-fields and their salient changes.
