Abstract

This brief epilogue to your work is not meant to be the critical review which I owe you individually as a minimum of personal appreciation for each one's special contribution, of which thus far I merely have had a preliminary preview. But before doings so, I would like to offer you a few general reflec­tions about your enterprise from the vantage (and disadvantage) point of a going-gone earlier generation in the hope that you may find them encouraging in your own work.
