The Greeks had a word, pou sto, meaning a place to stand, a ground, base, or set of principles from which to operate. The purpose of this paper is to suggest a pou sto for the practice of transpersonal psychotherapy (Grof, 1985; Vaughan, 1986; Wilber, 1977, 1980).
