But is there not still something unassimilable about the term "Derridean Bible Study"? Does it not still provoke a wince, a smirk, a shrug, a sharp nasal exhalation— some visceral interjection that marks, but leaves unresolved, a certain uncanniness stirred by the unexpected, almost embarrassing, emergence of something that perhaps ought to have remained hidden? And could this discomfort lie behind this volumes fascination with the secret?
