Abstract

It is under the aegis of transcendental logic that philosophy has addressed the problem of history — ever since, that is, philosophers became aware of that problem. The present chapter will establish this fact and explore its implications. It means, in the first instance, that the process of formulating the problem of history began with Kant: specifically, with transcendental philosophy's inquiry into the possibility of knowledge.
