Abstract

This is an introductory essay to the festschrift celebrating the work of Patricia H. Werhane. The first part of the essay describes Werhane's outstanding career as a scholar, her great accomplishments on the way, and her personality traits that made the experience of working with her always exciting and gratifying. It also outlines Werhane's influential contributions to the scholarship in business ethics and beyond, as well as her essential role in the development of the field of business ethics. The second part of the essay provides the overview of the content of the festschrift overall, and of each of its chapters in particular.
