The systems study of human action in a real world
pp. 3-7
in: Robert L. Flood, Michael C. Jackson, Paul Keys (eds), Systems prospects, Berlin, Springer, 1989Abstract
This piece was originally intended to be a lead paper for a 'stream session" on Systems Dynamics and its future. In the event, papers in this category were not forthcoming and the session topic changed to cover power and conflict in intervention and other 'soft" matters. This perhaps reflects a major shift of interest in the Systems Movement and the paper was altered so it could consider the implications of this shift.
