Abstract

I can hardly disagree with most of the remarks in Professor Dove's oral presentation. But as regards the Secularization Hypothesis — I think that this topic invites comparison with the theme of the paper which Professor Schmitz presented this morning. It seems to me that the thesis that Professor Schmitz proposed concerning the possibility of an Absolute Negativity beyond the Hegelian dialectic, is an attempt to find an autonomy or transcendence for religion after the fact of the Hegelian version of the "death of God" has been considered.
