Cross-reference analysis of the history of psychological gerontology

pp. 203-220

in: Klaus F. Riegel, Psychology of development and history, Berlin, Springer, 1976

Abstract

This chapter will present a quantitative analysis of the history of psychological gerontology based upon the reconstructed flow of written information in reference networks. The large amount of wasted research efforts and the concurrent lack of investigations of significant issues leads us to question our concepts of research and theory, communication, and education, and more generally, our concept of the individual, society, and their development.
