In the thesis Zygmunt Zawirski's concept of scientific metaphysics two questions were posed as the means of presenting an explorative issue: Can axiomatic method give rise to philosophy as a science, study of universal "order"? Does scientific metaphysics constitute solid, mathematical representation of our intuitions and instinctive strivings and development of previous attempts to demonstrate the existence of unity among multiplicity of phenomena. The article aims to reconstruct Zygmunt Zawirski's metaphilosophy, among other things: relations between the sciences and philosophy.
