Abstract

The problem of language will be initiated and dealt with in this paper in a manner fundamentally different from the way in which it is presented in a wide variety of perspectives. The following attempt at an exposition of the problem makes its way via the question of myth. The most immediate cause for a philosophical treatment of myth is riven by the works of Walter F. Otto, Karl Kerenyi and the structural myth-research inaugurated by Levi-Strauss. These are lines of thought which, no matter how different in their points of departure, methods, and intentions, make the problem of language their object, or in the end arrive at this problem.
