Abstract

Special issue: Heidegger in the 21st century. Estudios de Filosofía is the journal published by the Institute of Philosophy of the University of Antioquia. It is an international peer-reviewed, open-access, electronic journal and adheres to the policy of double-blind peer review. Since its foundation in 1990 Estudios de Filosofía has been devoted to fostering the creation and dissemination of research in all fields of philosophy. The journal publishes papers in Spanish and English. Martin Heidegger is one of the most representative philosophers of the 20th century. His masterpiece Being and Time has shaped the phenomenological, hermeneutic and existential movements in many countries. From its beginning, his philosophy has been a subject of debate, appropriation and criticisms by many representative authors of all philosophical traditions. What are the principal contributions and challenges of his philosophy? What is the role of this author and his entire work in the 21st century? The volume 61 of Estudios de Filosofía seeks to bring a comprehensive and critical account of Heidegger’s work in open debate with different authors and traditions.
